Bhattar was famous for his devotion to Lord Rama, to the extent he would even ignore Lord Krishna.

One time, some devotees asked Bhattar to deliver a upanyasam titled "Krishna Vaibhavam" and Bhattar agreed.

Once the upanyasam started Bhattar talked about nothing but Sri Rama vaibhavam. At the tail end of the upanyasam, one of the devotees interrupted Bhattar and reminded him that the discourse was supposed to be on Sri Krishna.

Bhattar replied "Everything I have said thus far applies to Lord Krishna as well" and concluded the upanyasam.
