When explaining Thiruppavai, Bhattar said the following:

"When a fake calf, covered in the original calf's skin, is placed in front of the mother cow, it will still provide milk.

Similarly, if we were to recite Thiruppavai, even though we don't have the love that Andal had for the Lord, He would still give us the fruit of saying it".
