Previous Choornai 136 & 137 Next

Sutra:
136. purushakAra balaththAlE SvAthanthryam thalaisAynthAl thalai edukkum guNangaLais sollugiRathu nArAyaNa padham.

137. avaiyAvana - vAthSalyamum Svamithvamum SausIlyamum Saulabyamum nyAnamum sakthiyum.

Meaning:
136. When His independence is removed by Her mediation, some of His divine qualities which were suppressed would rise. These are described by the nArAyaNa term.

137. Those divine qualities are vAtsalyam, svAmitvam, sausIlyam, saulabhyam, gnyAnam and shakti.

That is, the nArAyaNa term is fully focused on His divine qualities.

Sri PBA Swami's Sarartha Deepikai:
The nArAyaNa term is now explained.

The term nArAyaNa has many meanings. Different meanings come out of this term based on different contexts.

Here, in the Dvaya mantra, the meanings that come forth are vAtsalyam, svAmitvam, sausIlyam, saulabhyam, gnyAnam and shakti. The reason for that being, when His independence which rejects the chetana due to his countless sins, is removed through the mediation of Mahalakshmi, these are the qualities that arise.
