Travel	4-5 km from Thiruvallur railway station, on Chennai-Arakkonam path. By bus and car from Chennai, on the way to Thiruppathi.
Features	Punyaavarththa, veekshaaranya kshethram. Perumal is known as vaidya veerarAghavan, as people pray here to remove their diseases. Moolavar has His right hand on the head of Salihothra Muni and the left hand is in gyAna mudhrai teaching the Vedas to Brahma. Perumal asked Salihothra Muni where He could stay ("evvuL") and therefore the divyadesam came to be known as thiru evvuL (which has been changed to Thiruvallur). Temple is under the AdInam of Ahobila Matam.
