Once, one of Bhattar's disciples due to association with the wrong people became angry with Bhattar and told him "O Bhattar! There is no further association between us".

Bhattar replied "That may be your thought. But, even if you think that way, we will not let go of you".

The disciple did not listen and decided to move away from Bhattar.

But, Bhattar chased him down forcibly and by teaching, advising and other means corrected him and took him back as his disciple.

That is, the nature of an acharya is to correct every one including those who leave them due to ignorance.
