One time Bhattar was walking in the streets of Srirangam with his disciples, when he came upon a group of children playing with gay abandon.

Bhattar remarked to the children "O Lads! You play without any concern as if you were born in the Thirumantra".

That is, for those who are born in Thirumantra (receive it from an acharya), there is no fear left in this world and they live their remaining life without any worries.
