Pillai Azhagiya Manavala Araiyar recalled that he had heard Bhattar giving the following explanation.

Bhattar was asked "Which place is Andal refering to, that the Lord will take rest, when she says 'paLLi koLLum idaththu' in Nachchiyar Thirumozhi 4-1?"

Bhattar replied "The place that the Lord of Thirumalirunjsolai takes rest at, is Kovil - that is, Srirangam".

It is Bhattar's thought that the Lords of all divyadesams come to rest at Srirangam when their doors are closed each night.
