Nammazhvar sings in his Thiruvaymozhi "en thirumagaL sEr mArbanE ennum".

Anandazhvan named his daughter as "en thirumagaL".

Bhattar prayed to the Lord as follows: "Please consider me as the wealth that came with Thayar (the wealth that comes with a girl when she is married). I too will consider You as our son-in-law (Azhagiya Manavala Perumal) beacuse You are dear to Her".

That is, Bhattar considered himself as one in the retinue of Thayar only.
