Meaning:
ayam - (May) Senai Mudhaliyar, yatpANipadma - who in his lotus like hands dhruta kA~nchana vetravallI - has the slender golden sceptre spanda: - whose movement surendra bhaya bha~njana lampaTa AtmA - has the wish of removing the fear in the mind of Indra, vaikuNTha sUri pariShat prabhu: - who is the leader of the nityasUris in Vaikunta, sUtravatI pati: - who is the husband of Sutravati, vikAsayatu - help blossom sharma - happiness me - in me atra - in this world.

In this shloka, he performs mangalashasana to Senai Mudhaliyar.
Vishvaksena carries a sceptre in his hand which represents that
he has been given the responsibility to run this world by the
Lord. Desikan is stating that the mere gentle movement of this
stick is enough to chase away all the asuras and evil doers
and make them run away; thereby removing the fear in the minds
of Indra and the devas. He is the leader of all nityasuris in
Paramapadham and his wife's name is Sutravati ("ondodiyAL
sUthravathi uRai mArban vAzhiyE").
