Vyakhyana Saram:
It was earlier mentioned that SriVachanaBhushanam says that "prapththikku dhEsa niyamamum kAla niyamamum prakAra niyamamum adhikAri niyamamum pala niyamamum illai. vishaya niyamamE uLLadhu." That is, for complete surrender, the only qualification is to whom it is performed. In the prior three shlokas, Swami Desikan showed that such qualities are present only in Sriman Narayana and therefore sharanAgati must be performed only to Him. In this shloka, he shows that mumukshus (those who seek Moksha) perform such a surrender to Him ("mumukshurvai sharaNamaham prapadye").

He created all these worlds out of His grace. He had protected everything in His stomach during the praLaya - "perum pAzh kAlaththu" says Azhvar. After that, He takes pity on the jIvas that are in sUkshma form and through His sankalpa, He alone ("eko ha vai nArAyaNa AsIt| na brahmA neshAna:") creates the universe ('samashTi srushTi'). Then, in order to create everything that occupies this universe ('vyashTi srushTi'), He creates Brahma first and through him He creates everything else.

For the salvation of the jIvas, He not only gave them the stUla forms, but He also gave them the Vedas and the Sastras.

Seeing that the jIvAs are getting lost in the various Sastras and Vedas, He further took pity on them and gave them the Rahasya Trayam which is the essence of the Vedas.

In the lineage of acharyas, He is the first acharya. Acharyas teach us the Rahasya Trayam and set us in the path to moksha. The Rahasya Trayam is the Thirumanthram, Dvayam and Charama Shlokam. Thirumanthram was given to Nara by Narayana in Badrikashramam; Dvayam was given to Mahalakshmi by Narayana in Vishnu Loka; Charama Shlokam was taught to Arjuna by Geethacharya. Thus, He is the pratama acharya. This is why the Guru Parampara thaniyan given to us by Swami Kooraththazhvan says "lakshmInAtha samArambhAm" - the guru paramparai starts with Sriyapathi Lakshmi Narayana.

And it is to Sriman Narayana, those who seek moksha surrender as said in Dvaya mahAmanthram, which is anusandheyam for mumukshus.
