Meaning:
iraNiyanai - Hiranyakashipu munnam - once tharaNi thanadhAga thAnE - assumed that he owned the world; vaL ugirAl - with sharp finger nails pun nirandha - (You) wounded and ripped (him); pon - (with the same) beautiful Azhi kaiyAl - hands that hold the Sudarshana nI maN irandhu koNda vagai - the way You asked for and obtained this world, muraNai vali tholaithaRku Am enRE - was it not in order to remove the ahankAra and mamkAra (of the samsaris)?
