A Day in the Life of Our Acharyas

Nanjeeyar asked Bhattar the following: "Lord Krishna was born to Vasudeva and Devaki in Mathura. He eventually returned there. In between, for just a few years, He grew in Ayppadi due to fear of Kamsa. In spite of that case, some people without enough knowledge may state that He is a yadava, that He is the son of Yasoda, that He drank the breast milk of Yasoda, etc. Why would azhvars ('oruththi maganAy piRandhu Oriravil oruththi maganAy oLiththu vaLara', 'thandhai manamunthu thuyar nandha iruLvandhaviRal nandhanmathalai') and acharyas state the same?"

Bhattar replied: "It is not we alone who state that. Even great rishis prior to His avatara said the same thing. Parasara Maharishi says "ayam sa kathyatE prAnjai:" in Sri Vishnu Purana. Upon seeing Lord Krishna, milk flowed from Yasoda's breast. And He cried to drink that milk. In this, what is the need for you to do research?"
